Chateau Mouton Rothschild is one of the “Top Five” chateaus in Bordeaux of France. It was excluded from Premier Grand Crus in the 1855 Classification, although it was a top-level chateau and its wines were very expensive. Chateau Mouton Rothschild was rated as a Premier Grand Cru till 1973.
The unique feature of Chateau Mouton Rothschild is its artistic stannum labels. Since 1945, it has invited lots of world-renowned artists to create stannum labels for its wines, for example, many famous artists in the 20th century such as Dali, Marc Chagall, Picasso, etc. have been invited to create stannum labels for them. Because of this feature, wines from Chateau Mouton Rothschild are more expensive than other red wines at auctions, and also have high collection values.
